PEABODY FROM BOSTON WINS THE CEO CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP IN GREENVILLE

Chris Peabody, CEO of Peabody Office Furniture in Boston, Mass, became the 2011 CEO Cycling Champion on November 6 by winning the 'assault on Paris Mountain' in a time of 11 minutes, 41 seconds for the 2.2 mile climb.   He was escorted over the line by 17-time Tour de France finisher, and host for the CEO Cycling Challenge weekend, George Hincapie.

All seven CEOs in the competition completed the uphill time trial, which included the Les Domestiques cycling club from Toronto, who were in Greenville, SC for their own assault on the mountain.

The CEO Cycling Challenge has been hosted on the same beautiful upstate roads since 2008, with George Hincapie accompanying the CEOs on all rides, joining in on the fantastic meals, and hosting an exclusive recepetion at his home.   New this year, Hunter Allen's Peaks Coaching Group provided each of the CEO riders with a Quark Power meter and hosted two presentations on how to understand the power numbers and use them to improve cycling performance.

George Randy Bass was the official photographer for the event, and took a number of great photos highlighting the fall colors and incredible riding.  See his photos here, and to see a You Tube video of the photos go HERE.
