BRIAN VAUGHAN, CEO OF GU, IS THE 2012 CEO CHALLENGE LEADVILLE 100 MTB CHAMPION!

Brian Vaughan not only won the CEO Challenge at the 2012 Leadville Trail 100 MTB, he finished in just under 9 hours to take home one of the very coveted gold belt buckles that sub-9 hour finishers earn.    Brian said, "At 80 miles I knew I would be close to 9 hours and gave it everything I had.  It just about killed me but I got my buckle!"

Brian was followed by Brent Underdahl of Ironman Marketing in Cabo san Lucas, Mexico and Joe Marinucci of Interactive Marketing Solutions in Florida.  

Both Brent and Joe were also part of the Race Across America 8-man CEO Challenge team that finished 4th overall in the June event.  

"What a remarkable double for Brent and Joe," stated Ted Kennedy, President of CEO Challenges.   "To compete in both RAAM and Leadville in the same year - these guys are true studs!   And of course my hats off to Brian, running a company as large as GU Energy Labs and still being fast enough over 100 miles and 12,000 feet of climing to finish in under 9 hours."
