Who is the best CEO Beach Volleyball player?
Three CEO AVP Challenges in 2010
At the AVP Tour stop in Las Vegas last September, the CEO of Battea-Class Action Services, Jonathan Wade, squared off against the CEO of Big Biz Media, Luke Honnette, to see who would win the title of CEO King of the Beach. Jonathon and Luke earned the right to play for the CEO AVP Challenge Championship after emerging as the best CEOs in the tournament during nine games played over two days.
The final match took place on Stadium Court in front of the crowds gathered to watch the Pro Finals that followed the CEO Challenge match. Every time Jonathan’s pair edged ahead, Luke’s pair was able to answer. The crowd responded to each volley, and was impressed by the level of play of these two CEOs as they battled back and forth. In the end, Luke’s pair came out as the winner in a hotly contested 26-24 victory.
“I have played volleyball for over 20 years in various tournaments and situations,” stated Nate Johnson, CEO of Reliam, and Luke’s partner for the final match. “I can truly say that the CEO AVP Challenge was the best volleyball experience I’ve ever had! Playing with great CEO competitors, mentoring by pro players, and then playing in the finals on center court will be an experience I will never forget.”
Given the extremely positive event last year, the AVP and CEO Challenges are very happy to announce an expansion of the program to three events in 2010—all centered in the beach volleyball mecca of Southern California.
“We were so thrilled with the event in 2009 that we immediately started working with the AVP on how to expand the program, and find ways to identify the best CEO beach volleyball players in the Country,” said Ted Kennedy, President of CEO Challenges. “We have two qualifying events (Huntington Beach in June and Malibu in July) with the best from each invited to play in the Finals at the AVP’s to-be-announced Los Angeles-area stop in September. I look very forward to awarding the CEO Challenge trophy on Stadium Court to the best CEO beach volleyball player in the USA!”
“We are very pleased to announce this year’s AVP CEO Challenge events, and would like to officially extend an invitation for all CEO volleyball players to join us,” said Justin Kamm, AVP EVP. “The AVP CEO Challenge will add an extra level of excitement to these three California AVP NIVEA Tour stops, culminating in the Los Angeles Invitational in September.”
Entry to the CEO AVP Challenge is open to C-level Executives (CEO, COO, CFO, President, Owner), and packages for each event include:
