Andrew Kindfuller - Guthy-Renker International (Los Angeles, CA)
Andrew (Andy) Kindfuller is Chief Operating Officer of Guthy-Renker International, the international arm of one of the world's largest direct response television companies. Established in 1988, Guthy-Renker today has sales of more than $1.5 Billion per year and an average annual growth rate of 25% over the last 10 years. Originally launched as a television direct marketer by Co-CEOs Bill Guthy and Greg Renker, the independently-owned, vertically-integrated company has since broadened its focus into every area of electronic retailing, making quality products available to U.S. and international consumers through broadcast television, cable and satellite, as well as internet, telemarketing, direct mail and retail channels.
As COO International, Andy has responsibility for marketing, operations, finance, legal, product development and regulatory in all international markets. Andy travels a great deal to Guthy-Renker's offices in England, Japan, China, Sweden, Australia, India, Germany and other markets around the world. He has been running for 30+ years and never travels without sneakers, commenting, "Going for a run is the best way to see a market and start to understand how people in another country really live."
Andy has been a runner all his life, completing 11 marathons with a 3:23 personal best. In 2006, he overcame his fear of sinking and finished Ironman Arizona in 14:12 and Ironman Hawaii in 14:03. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kenwyn, and five children ages 6 to 14. Kenwyn is an accomplished athlete herself, running 11+ miles everyday and recently winning her age group in The Bermuda Half Marathon. She has reluctantly allowed him to do the Lake Placid Ironman CEO Challenge as she see Ironman races as his mid life crisis!
