Andy Osburn - Diaphonics (Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Canada)

Diaphonics, Inc., founded in 2000, is a leading provider of biometric voice verification solutions targeted at industry verticals, including Financial Services and Government/Law Enforcement. Biometric voice verification is a cost-effective, secure and convenient way to verify the identity of an individual by matching a voice sample against a stored voice template, or "voiceprint."

Andy is the CEO of the company and has an extensive background in software and systems engineering management. Prior to co-founding Diaphonics, he occupied various technical and operational roles with the Canadian Armed Forces. Andy has worked and conducted research in the fields of digital signal processing and acoustic modeling and holds several patents in the voice biometric field. He holds an undergraduate degree in science from McMaster University, a M.Sc. in acoustics from Royal Roads Military College and an MBA from Saint Mary's University. Andy is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Andy has competed in a number of marathons and triathlons and most recently completed the Great Canadian half-Iron distance triathlon in Ottawa, Ont. Ironman Canada will be Andy's first Iron-distance event and he expects the CEO Challenge will be a great way to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
