Billy Downs - bd's Mongolian Barbeque (Novi, MI)
BD's Mongolian Barbeque is a chain of 31 restaurants based out of Detroit, with locations in 10 States and Mongolia. Billy is founder and CEO of the company, and established the business in 1992. He has worked in the restaurant business for the last 28 years, since age 14. Billy is a graduate of the Hospitality Business Program at Michigan State University.
Billy has been competing in triathlons for the previous 7 years, and has finished three Ironman races, including the CEO Challenge at Ironman USA Lake Placid in 2006 in 12:45 and the CEO Challenge at Ironman Coeur d'Alene in 2007. Billy took part in the 2007 CEO Challenge in St. Croix, finishing in 6:21.
He is supported by his wife of 16 years, Amy, and has three children.
