Bryan Gonzalez - Channel Electric (Honolulu, HI)
Bryan Gonzalez is the President and Owner of Channel Electric, Inc., a Hawaii based company providing electrical contracting, data communication and information technology services throughout the islands. Bryan began his career as a field electrician and formed Channel Electric in 1995. Through Bryan’s vision, hard work and perseverance, Channel Electric, Inc. has since expanded into the multi-million dollar contracts arena working primarily in the federal government sector.
This positive work growth, however, had an adverse reaction on Bryan's lifestyle where he found himself sitting indoor behind a desk. This caused not only his weight to jump drastically, but also his stress level to increase; at which point, Bryan made a goal to participate in a sprint triathlon. After this race, he caught the triathlon bug and has been racing ever since. Bryan has raced in over twenty Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and in two 70.3 (Kona and Montauk) races over the past two years (finishing the 2007 Honu 70.3 in 5:22). He now has his sights set on qualifying for the Kona Ironman this year.
Bryan is supported by his wife, Karen, and their two daughters, Capella (9) and Lyra (7). He signed up for the CEO Challenge as a networking opportunity, and for the racing experience.
