Chuck Bengochea - HoneyBaked Ham of Georgia (Norcross, GA)
Chuck Bengochea is the CEO of HoneyBaked Ham, which he joined in 1995 as the VP of Retail. Through the next few years, Chuck moved up the corporate ladder to become the President and COO of the company, and in 2006, Chuck was named the first CEO outside the family that had founded and managed the company for four decades.
Chuck has been active since college, where he excelled at excelled in sports at Cornell University. There he was selected as Baseball Academic All-American and graduated with a BA in Economics. He first started competiting in triahtlons in 1999, and since then has competed in 4 Ironmans (Switzerland, Florida, Utah and Wisconsin) with a PR of 11:29. He was also on the USA Long Course team for two years and competed in Ibiza, Spain and Sweden, where he finished an impressive 11th out of 50 in his age group. He also has multiple age group wins at other 70.3 distance races.
He is supported by his wife and their four children, including his son who does triathlons with him. He is looking forward to the CEO Challenge for the challenge, the better chance at Kona, and the fun of the CEO Challenge experience.
