Donald Booth - DJG Inc. (Poquoson, VA)
Donald Booth is Co-Owner and Principal Architect at DJG, Inc. Currently celebrating its 30th year in business, DJG, Inc is a full service, multi-discipline engineering and architecture firm headquartered in Williamsburg, Virginia, providing quality engineering and architectural design services throughout the Mid-Atlantic and in foreign locations such as Europe and South America. From concept to completion, DJG has the in-house design resources and capabilities required to deliver new or renovation designs. Since starting with DJG in 1996, Donald has focused much of his training on the design of Public Safety Facilities including police, fire and rescue facilities. Currently, he is the principal overseeing all public safety design for DJG. On average, DJG maintains 10 - 15 active public safety facility designs concurrently. He has also been a featured speaker at national design conferences.
No stranger to sport, Donald earned 12 Varisty Letters in high school for track, cross-county, and wrestling, and was a Collegiate wrestler at Virginia Polytechnic University from 1991-1996, where he was a 4 time letter winner. Donald has been active in running, and competed in running events, including half-marathons since 1986. He competed in first triathlon in 2006, and has completed 9 since, including Gulf Coast Half in 2007 where he finished in 5:26, and Patriot (Virginia) Half-Ironman.
Donald is supported by his wife Sheena, who is also a triathlete. She competed in her first sprint in March 2008, and will be competing in the sprint tri in St. Croix. They had their first son recently in September 2007. Donald signed up for the CEO Challenge because he enjoys attempting to balance a challenging career with a challenging multi-sport and meeting and racing with other like-minded individuals.He also can't wait to duel with "the beast."
