Graham Fraser - North America Sports
Graham Fraser is CEO & owner of North America Sports, the privately held license holder for Ironman branded ("M-dot") events in North America, including Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid, Subaru Ironman Canada, and four other full Ironman races, and two Ironman 70.3 races. Graham purchased the rights to Ironman Canada in 1995, and formed Ironman North America in 1999, launching Ironman Lake Placid and Ironman Florida in that year. NA Sports is now the Ironman Corporation's largest license holder in the world. Graham is often credited with being one of the major factors for the incredible success of Ironman in North America.
Graham's career started with the Grimsby Triathlon in his hometown in 1986, which led him to form the Subaru Triathlon Series in Ontario. Shortly after forming Ironman North America, Graham sold the Series to his brother Mitch, who still runs this successful business (including the Muskoka Ironman 70.3).
Graham's athletic background includes Jr B hockey, his first Ironman in Hawaii in 1984, and his last two Ironman's have been sub 10 hours. He continues to enter running races, XC ski races, and triathlons, however he has had to deal with a number of injuries in the last few years.
One of Graham's proudest accomplishments while in Ontario was hosting the very successful ITU World Championship in Muskoka in 1992. He is excited to return to Muskoka and take on the Ironman 70.3 course that his brother has laid out using many of the same venues and roads.
