Guneet Bajwa - Presidio Hotel Management Services (Davis, CA)
Guneet Bajwa is the President of The Presidio Hotel Management Services LLC, a company that manages successful hotel properties across North America. Presidio offers services and expertise in the following areas: operations and management, sales and marketing, finance and managerial accounting, development and construction, and human resources. Guneet Bajwa joined Presidio Hotel Group in 2002 after over a decade in senior management of hotel operations and specializing in large food and beverage and convention facilities. As President, he is a central point of contact for all Presidio Directors and provides support and direction to the general managers at each of Presidio's properties. In this capacity, he oversees the growth, planning and implementation of Presidio's multi-brand portfolio.
Guneet is an avid golfer and runner and competes in marathons and Ironman triathlons. He has competed in the Vineman Ironman 70.3, San Francisco Marathon, Big Sur Marathon and California International Marathon. His best performance was a 4:08 finish at the California International Marathon in 2007
Guneet and his wife Dr. Kulbir Bajwa live in Davis, CA, with their son Saihaj and daughter Sanjana. Guneet signed up for the CEO Challenge becayse "with technology enabling us to be available 24/7, it has become ever more important to put down the PDA and carve out time for myself and my physical fitness. But triathlons have become more than just exercise; running, cycling and swimming have become my therapists and my outlet for meditation and reflection in preparation for or after a long day. While I enjoy training for triathlons and marathons, nothing can beat the sense of fulfillment and accomplishment after completing a race."
