ThyssenKrupp Access is a division of ThyssenKrupp AG, the world's 40th largest manufacturer, and is committed to improving the quality of life. For over 60 years ThyssenKrupp has been the world leader in elevator and accessibility solutions. They have 18 offices across the USA, and facilities in South America, Asia, and Europe. As Chief Financial Officer, Jene oversees all finance and information technology operations for 2 divisions, a manufacturing division, and 19 field operation locations. Jene is also responsible for communication up to the corporate office in Germany. Thyssen Krupp is the 5th different company that Jene has been CFO for, and she is a specialist in turnarounds, M&A, and locating venture capital.

Jene's athletic background began 10 years ago when she was in her 30's with 3 kids. Previously she was unable to exercise due to extreme asthma, however as medicine improved she began to walk, running her first mile in 1997 and her first sprint triathlon in 1998. Since that time she has competed in over 100 triathlons including 11 Ironman and 6 ITU World Championships! She has been a member of Team USA since 2000, and is now an Aquaphor Active Elite sponsored athlete.

Jene has been a single mother looking after 3 children for the last 10 years. She has two daughters (18 & 16), and one son (11), and all will be in Coeur d'Alene to cheer on their Mom!

She is taking part in the CEO Ironman Challenge as a living example that everyone can make time to be active and stay fit - even executives with families. As she says, "NO EXCUSES!" Jene earned her slot to Kona by winning the female division of the CEO Challenge at Ironman Coeur d'Alene in 13:51.
