John Schlagenhauf - Badger Truck Center (Milwaukee, WI)
John Schlagenhauf is a co-owner and CFO of Badger Truck Center Inc. located in Milwaukee and Madison Wisconsin. The Badger Truck Center family of companies, which is ranked as one of the largest 75 Privately held companies in Wisconsin, is made of three truck dealerships, a truck rental and leasing company, a truck equipment division, a rebuild division, a government division and a driver leasing company. It is a family company, and John has been working at Badger Truck Center ever since 7th grade (his father started the dealership in 1965), and it is the only company he has ever been with.
John's athletic background mainly revolves around triathlons; his first race was in 1982 and he has completed 19 Ironman races with a best time of 9:52:59. He has also completes an impressive 75 70.3 distance races with a PR of 4:27 (he jokes that those times were from the 90's and before kids).
John has two daughters Erika and Elke with his wife Chris, who is also a top age group triathete.
John is a veteren of CEO Challenges, and, until last year, competed in every CEO Ironman Challenge event since the first one in 2001! In 2005 John finished the CEO Challenge at Ironman USA Lake Placid in an impressive time of 10:52, earning a slot to Kona. John has signed up for this event because "after doing a CEO Challenge every year and skipping last year, I missed doing one of Ted's races."
