His best performances have been when climbing the Cols of Europe in the Pyrenees and Dolomoites including the Mortirollo, Gavia, Stelvio, Tourmelet, Aspin, Peyresourde and others.
He has travelled the world with his wife Anthea of 21 years and their two daughters, Julianne 17 and Kimberly 15. Together they have visited all 50 states in the US and ten countries around the world. He signed up for the CEO Cycling Challenge because "cycling and leading a company have many parallels. Each day there is a hill to climb and the only way that you can get up a hill is by creating forward momentum - with cycling this means pedaling and as CEO it means actively driving the business strategy. In both cases the satisfaction lies in taking on the challenge and working your way to the peak while being comfortable with the uncomfortable. So, with this parallel in mind it seems natural to want to be part of an event where these two forces come together. Bottom line is I like to ride up hills and this is yet another way to do this."
