Mark Moses - Platinum Capital Corp (Newport Beach, CA)

Mark has built two companies from scratch into significant entities. For the past 13 years he was Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Platinum Capital Group, a mortgage banker headquartered in Irvine, California with offices around the U.S. Platinum Capital grew under Mark’s leadership from 2 people to a national lender with residential loan volume in 2006 of $1.6 billion and 350 employees.

Mark sold the company this past summer.

Prior to establishing Platinum Capital Group, Mark was Founder and President of Student Painters, which he started in 1988. Before selling the company in 1992, the business grew to 250 branches and over 3000 employees.

Mark was born and raised in Canada, moving to the United States in 1988. He is a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Vistage, and the Birthing of Giants program. In 1998 Mark received the Ernst & Young-sponsored Entrepreneur of the Year award and Platinum Capital ranked #10 on the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in America. Mark currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Chairman of the California Southwest Chapter of YPO.

Mark is married to Ivette and has two children, ages 8 & 6. He enjoys competing in triathlons and competed in the CEO Challenge at Ironman Austria this year, finishing in 11:56.
