Maury Blackman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Accela, Inc.
Accela is an international software company focused on connecting people to government services 24X7. The Company serves a global client base of more than 500 jurisdictions and maintains offices in San Ramon, CA, Beijing, CH, and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Mr. Blackman joined the company in April 2000 serving in a variety of business development capacities. Most recently, he served the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a position he held since May 2004. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, partner strategy, and customer relations.
Prior to joining Accela, Blackman was a sales and marketing professional at Investools, formerly Telescan Inc., and served as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army. He is graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Maury is looking forward to the CEO Challenge and embarking on a new Ironman adventure. He receives the continual support of his family for his training and travels. His previous races include the 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Ironman Coeur D'Alene and Ironman Canada Ironman.
