Michael Biehl - KMPG
Michael Biehl was recently CFO of KPMG, one of the largest public accounting firms in the world. They provide professional audit, tax and advisory services to some of the leading businesses in the world. KMPG employs over 20,000 in the US and 100,000 globally. He has been a partner with KPMG since 1993 and have worked for the Firm since 1979. He served as the CFO from 2004-2007 and has since returned to client service. Michael is a global lead partner in their private equity group.
He has run 7 marathons (NY 4 times, Boston, Marine Corps, NJ once) and 4 triathlons. This is his first Ironman. Athletics and staying fit have always played an important role in Michael's family. Michael enjoys physical fitness and training for an Ironman because it is the ultimate stress reliever and a great way to make friends. He has spent many years as a spectator as his kids played at all levels of football, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, soccer. They set a great example for him, and now he can set one for them! Michael also enjoys physical fitness because it keeps him sharp - it sets a great example for others - especially the company's young recruits.
