CEO Challenges

Paul-Michael is a Senior Partner and Co-Head of McDermott Will & Emery International Law Firm's London Structured Finance Group. McDermott Will & Emery is a premier international law firm (among the top 20 in the US and globally), which provides a comprehensive range of legal services to a broad range of corporate, institutional, governmental and private clients. Paul-Micharl has acted extensively on behalf of financial institutions worldwide with respect to the securitisation (through multi seller asset-backed commercial paper conduits and term structures) of numerous classes of assets. Receivables securitised have been generated from numerous jurisdictions throughout Europe, the US and Asia. Several leading independent legal directories have ranked Paul-Michael as a leader in the field of securitisation and he has been nominated and won industry related awards for his innovative and unique transactions.

Paul-Michael has completed numerous Olympic distance triathlons and 70.3 Half Ironman competitions, as well as a few full-distance Ironman race. He has completed the UK Ironman and Frankfurt Ironman (European Championships).

Paul-Michael and his wife Sonja Rebus have three children, Matthew, Andrew and David, who all help Paul-Michael train and view themselves as his personal coaches. Paul-Michael is excited for the CEO Challenge because of the invaluable opportunity to facilitate senior executives competing in these events which is often difficult given that they are often faced with significant demands on their time due to work commitments. Also the CEO Ironman Challenge provides an important opportunity to highlight the importance of exercise and balance in our lives notwithstanding peoples hectic work schedules.
