Preston Miller - Cactus Bolt of Arizona (Scottsdale, AZ)
Preston Miller has been in Marketing, Corporate Development, and Acquisitions for over 30 years, and just recently retired (November 2007. ) For the past twenty years, he bought companies, operated and grew them for several years, and sold them. He also served 6 1/2 years as an Army officer after graduating from West Point in 1968 and spent a year in Vietnam and two years in Iran.
Preston played rugby for many years, then took up running in 1984. Since starting in triathlons in 2000, he has competed in over 120 triathlons, including two Ironman triathlons (Austria in '04 and Arizona in '06), with a PR of 14:06.
He is supported by his wife Clementine of 37 years, as well as 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, including 5-year old triplets. He first decided to to Ironman France, and then discovered the CEO Challenge. To him, it sounded like a great opportunity for him and his wife to enjoy both the event and the beautiful location in the company of others with similar goals.
