Robert Delmonico - RAD Sports (Hingham, MA)
Robert Delmonico is the President of RAD Sports, a company that specializes in the construction of high-quality athletic facilities. Robert started the company in 1994 with his brother Derek. Robert handles all the business aspects of the company including estimating and sales while his brother handles the construction side of things. RAD Sports is the largest athletic field installer on the East Coast having built over 65 synthetic turf athletic fields and countless natural turf fields and running tracks. The most successful and highest profile project was for the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in November of 2006. It typically takes 12-16 weeks to complete a similar project and the Patriots allowed a window of 10 days before their next game with the Chicago Bears. The field was completed in 8 days. Other clients include Boston College, Brown University, The College of the Holy Cross, Bentley College, and University of Maryland.
Robert started running 5 years ago to battle extreme weight gain and completed the Boston Marathon twice. He has completed 4 Ironman events in the past 3 years with a PR of 11:24:44 at Wisconsin in 2007
Robert will be cheered on in Lake Placid by his wife Sharon of 16 years and their 4 children, Amanda 15, David 13, Joseph 4 and Ashley 3. He will also be running the race along with 2 of his brothers. Robert is excited to meet other CEO's and see if they live the same hectic schedule with family, work and training and to see how they deal with the success and failures associated with it.
