Robert McFarland

Robert McFarland - Great Plains Imaging (Wichita, KS)

Robert McFarland is the President and CEO of Great Plains Imaging, a dyamic teleradiology company based out of Wichita Kansas. The company currently provides total radiological solution to large and small Hospitals chains as well as multispecialty groups across the country.

In college, Robert played basketball, and started running on the track, where his biggest accomplishment was running 16 miles -- backwards (so he never had to turn away from the basket). After sustaining some knee injuries, he had to quit basketball after college, but continued running. He has now completed several half Ironman races, and 2 fulll Ironmans.

After college at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, his medical career took him around the world, from San Diego to Antarctica. Robert is currently board certified in radiology and nuclear medicine and serve as a Board Examiner for the American College of Radiology as well as an editor for the Journal Of Radiology. He and his wife Beverly whom he met while serving as a doctor in Antarctica, havethree lovely children, Ross, Gabrielle, and Milo. Robert and Beverly are active fund raisers and awareness promoters of Duchenne Muscular Dystropy, which the eldest Ross suffers from.

His biggest goal triathlon goal is to qualify for and race in Kona: "it probably will take several more years and a whole lot of luck. So far I have improved each year dating back to 2004. I love the training and the sacrifice."
