Teo Ser Luck - Singapore
Mr Teo Ser Luck, 39, is currently the Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Republic of Singapore. He is also a Member of Parliament of Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency. He is the Patron and Guest of Honour for the Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore.
Ser Luck has a heavy responsibility. Of the many portfolios he oversees, it includes the sports sector in Singapore. He looks at the development of sports in Singapore and is involved in leading or part of the leading team in several national committees overseeing projects such as the Sports Hub, international sports events, Sporting Culture, Formula One Race and sports sector governance.
Ser Luck is a trained accountant and assumed regional corporate leadership positions with multinational companies for more than 10 years, including stints in Hong Kong and China. Before his current appointment in public office, Ser Luck was the general manager of DHL Express (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. He was also a founding investor for several start-up companies. He has clinched several awards, including the top business manager award and top quality operations award in his corporate career before entering public office.
Ser Luck was recently selected as a Global Young Leader by the World Economic Forum and Outstanding Young Alumni by his alma mater, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
An avid sportsman from a young age, Ser Luck participates in triathlons and marathons and has completed 3 Ironman races. He also founded the Triathlon Family Club, an online triathlon community, and the Safe Cycling Taskforce, an advocacy group for the safety of cyclists.
Ser Luck claimed that he has not been training regularly due to his packed schedule as one would have expected. But he hopes to at least ‘put one leg in front of the other' right to the finish line!
