July 15, 2010 - July 19, 2010

Sports Tours International has been appointed as the Official Sports Travel Partner for CEO Challenges Europe and Challenge Roth 2010. The event will take place on Sun 18th July 2010*.

We have designed a package to suit the needs of CEOs, featuring a number of exclusive elements so that you have an experience that you never forget from your visit to Roth. We will be based at the luxurious city centre 4* Le Meridien Grand Hotel in Nuremberg, within walking distance to the ciy’s best shops, restaurants and. It is just 30min north of Roth. Nuremberg is Bavaria’s second largest city and is charming and businesslike.

The ancient walls around the old city shelter medieval craftsmen’s and tradesmen’s houses, small private breweries and the Imperial Castle, which has an art shelter located in the rocks underneath. The Germanisches National Museum has a display of art and culture from the German-speaking world, dating back to 30,000 BC. Other museums include the Natural History Museum of Nuremberg, the Toy Museum and the Nuremberg Traffic Museum.

Event History

The Quelle Challenge Roth is often referred to as the best ‘old race’ and it has an almost legendary reputation. Today, it has become the world’s biggest long-distance triathlon event. Athletes from more than fifty nations around the world come to Roth each year in order to take part in the famous race which takes them on a 3.8 kilometre swim, 180 kilometre bike lap and a 42 kilometre run on the fabulous race course around the city and county of Roth supported by hundreds of thousands of supporters. It truly is a special place and once each year the town is invaded as triathletes from all over the world descend to try to take on this course.

Last year GB’s very own 3 times IM World Champion, Chrissie Wellington set the new world record for the fastest ever female Iron distance race in an incredible time of 8:31:59, winning by over 7 minutes to Australia’s Rebeka Keat and Scotland’s Catriona Morrison rounded off the podium. In the men’s race Germany’s Michael Gohner was the fastest male PRO on the day and the only man to go under 8 hours recording 7:55:53. Australis’a Pete Jacobs was 2nd with NZ’s Richard Ussher coming in 3rd.
